Founder & CEO
Karen Knecht founded Compass Billing and Consulting after more than two decades working inside healthcare practices — first as a billing specialist, then as a revenue cycle director overseeing multi-provider organizations across Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, and DMEPOS.
She built Compass on a simple belief: that small and mid-sized practices deserve the same level of billing expertise and personal attention that large hospital systems receive. Every client works directly with Karen and her team — no call centers, no offshore processing, no surprises.
Karen holds a business certification in O&P Business Management and stays current with the latest CMS guidelines, payer policy changes, and compliance requirements so her clients never have to worry about falling behind.
